Disney English Trainer Tips

Disney English Trainers

Disney English Trainers have put together a list of 6 things you should know about working for Disney English. We are a unique program that differs from other ELL teaching positions abroad. It is our goal to give you as much information as possible up front about our program so you can make the best decision for yourself when considering the opportunity to join the magic!

View Tips
  1. Disney English trainers work at the centers 40 hours a week.

  2. We offer lessons to learners around their regular school schedule. Our peak times are evenings and weekends. A typical weekday begins for us at 1:30pm and ends around 8:30pm or 9:00pm. On weekends, trainers have one long day (about 10 working hours plus an hour and a half break) and one short day (about 8 working hours plus a 30 minute break).

  3. Because we’re in China, we observe the Chinese national holidays and not western holidays.

  1. Trainers are responsible for finding their own apartments. We offer a list of rental agents that other trainers have recommended as we don't have an internal rental agent. Many trainers have had success finding their new homes through online postings as well.

  2. All trainers will participate in demo lessons. These are scripted and structured mock classes in which we showcase our content, teaching methodology and outstanding customer service to potential learners and parents.

  3. When class is not in session, trainers host-parent-teacher conferences, present workshops, post comments of each learner's progress through our online parent portal, talk with parents and support our sales and marketing teams when needed.

Disney English is proud to have been awarded THREE major industry awards in 2012. The "2012 Most Well-Known Brand for Children's English Training" by Sina, the "2012 Excellent Children's English Training Brand in Shanghai" by three top-tier media organizations, Shanghai Morning Post, I-Times and Tencent, and "The Most Trusted English Training Organization in Tianjin" by Tianjin's Today Evening News and Oriental Outlook magazine.
